Something arty to do tonight – and clearly, booze is also involved. Hosted by PositiveSpace, Schmooze and Booze is a networking event intending to unite artists, craftspersons, collectives, collectors, and enthusiasts from the Philadelphia art community. I think it’s a fabulous idea, as it’s very easy to get stuck in the small arty circles of regions of the city, or based upon the people you went to school with. It’s completely free, although there is a small suggested donation for beverages, but totally worth it. You get to booze it up and schmooze about art. It’s taking place tonight, September 1st, from 6-8PM at Philadelphia Center for the Book (626 South Street) which is one of the new Arts on South pop-up spaces I’ve been seeing as I walk around.
Interested? RSVP on the facebook event page.
